Recipies to Quilt By at www.connectingthreads.com
Okay…it’s been approved. I have just started a new group for those of us who need help finding time to quilt. My biggest concern every morning when I get up is what to have for dinner. If you’re like me this goes through your mind too. Well, let’s help each other by sharing some of our families favorite recipies. Like most groups we have to have some rules, okay, just one rule,……….. It has to be quick and easy and Yummy. I started by putting one of my fams favs Stroganoff…..very easy, start to finish less than 20 minutes depending on how fast you can move. Now I’ve made a happy family an have freed up some time for quilting. We can copy/paste and print these off and keep out own CT Blog Recipie book. Just plunk the page into a plastic page protector (this keeps the recipe clean) and clip it into a 3 ring binder. You can be creative with the font to make it easy for you to read. Most of all have fun.
If you want to see or post some of your own you will need to go to www.connectingthreads.com, click on the ” Quilt with Us ” tab and join this great new blog. Then, yeah I know, one more thing. Click on the groups and join “Recipies to Quilt By”. It’s worth the effort, believe me.

Wish I could do some quilting. I’ve got a son getting married Feb 7th and have some things to do for the rehearsal dinner still. Maybe Sunday I will be able to turn on the ol’ machine and get something done.
Have a Great Weekend

Twin - Frack

Twin Frick
These are my twins-
Frick and Frack. Some days we get along and some days we don’t. Just like any family we have….. OUR MOMENTS. When I was struggling to finish this shoot they decided to act up or should I say act out. As an adult figure I had to make a decision and………………………
One twin had to go into the corner for……..what do they call it these days? Oh ya…..for a TIME OUT. —

- One good and one bad!
This was really an accident. I was shooting each one seperately and knew that the other was in the background. I have the ability to crop out what I don’t want in the photo but when I saw that it looked like one of the twins was being punshed, and sent to the corner, I had to share it with you. I spend so much time in my sewing room (pc ..studio) that I feel like these two munchkins are my part of my family. I have a huge advantage though, THEY DON’T TALK BACK! YeaH!
ps–ignore my second hand file cabinets—I have wanted to paint them for two years now. One day.
Okay, The summer’s almost over and I have to say that I am looking forward to fall. It’s been a season of cooking and not much sewing. I still have pears and peaches to can before I can get back into my sewing room. I finished my tomatoes yesterday and just waiting for the other fruit to rippen.
This post is to give you my favorite salad recipe. It’s quick and easy, just like my patterns. I should change my middle name to quick and easy. That’s my life now-a-days. Anyway….try this salad…you’ll love it.

Help Me!
Okay, now I really need your help. I’ve designed this quilt pattern at the request of Moda to use with their new jelly rolls coming out this summer or fall. What I don’t have is a name for this thang. Take a good look at it, come up with a name and let’s make a mini contest of this. Think of a really good name, email me or write a comment and well have a Blog Vote. Whoever emails or blogs me the winning name will get the first pattern hot off of the press or should I say copier. I know, I know, I could have used better colors but I had a bunch of fat quarters in this line and just used them. Anyway, please help me. My brain has been sucked dry since Market. My creative juices for names has dried up. Let’s make the deadline for this mid July so I can get on with other things on the drawing board. Thanks for your help.

Okay, What to have for dinner? Does this simply question plague you every morning? It does me. So, I starting thinking about it and while starring outside, I noticed lots of sun and no wind and then it hit me. BBQ! Steaks and baked potatoes. Great, All I have to do is scrub the spuds, plunk them in the oven- I might make a nice cesear salad to go with it, and let my husband man the BBQ. He wears his apron like the one pictured here but in his manly fabric. I don’t have a photo. His is stained from years of use and looks awful, but he love it anyway. AH!-Nice hubby. If you think your guy would like a new apron and you want an easy easy pattern, go to my webste at www.sewsimplepatterns.com and click on aprons. I mail with 24 hours so you can have it made before your Memorial Day picnic. Have a GREAT day.
I’ve added two new links. Please, please take a few minutes and visit JCarrell originals, Maple Lane and Shawnee’s. They’re fantastic blogs and sites.
